Protecting our environment, welfare and wellbeing

Coregeo is committed to doing business in a sustainable and socially responsible way that minimises the impact on the environment while protecting the welfare and wellbeing of our employees and all our stakeholders and partners. Our people remain at the heart of everything we do, from field to fork.

Giving back

We use our business and the fresh produce brands in our stable as a force for good. We regularly give back to communities and charitable initiatives that we are passionate about, and that align with our core values and those of our brands.

Corporate Social Responsibility Project

Coregeo & Pink Lady®

Coregeo and Pink Lady® donated 50,000 apples (10.5 tonnes) to FareShare between July and September 2020 to help combat holiday hunger.

The donation to the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste came in response to FareShare’s Summer Appeal during the coronavirus pandemic.

FareShare distributed the Pink Lady® apples to 364 frontline charities and community groups across the UK including school breakfast and after school clubs, hostels for the homeless, foodbanks and community centres in deprived areas.

The charity estimated that organisations supporting children and families needed at least 40% more food over the summer holiday compared to pre-COVID-19 levels.

Coregeo & Tenderstem®

Tenderstem® partnered with the National Restaurant Awards for the first time in 2020, sponsoring prizes for an auction offering ‘money-can’t-buy’ culinary experiences. The auction raised more than £117,000 for industry charity, Hospitality Action, to help those whose livelihoods have been put at risk as a direct consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tenderstem® has built on this industry partnership by collaborating with top chef Chantelle Nicholson. Chantelle is a champion of sustainable plant-based cookery and she has worked with Tenderstem® on a series of masterclass recipe videos featuring the highly sustainable vegetable.
